Centre Ophthalmologique Val Sainte Croix is an ophthalmology unit specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of all eye conditions and a specific focus on cataract surgery, retinal surgery, uveitis and intravitreal injections.

Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: 08:00- 17:00

Saturdays: 09:00-13:00

Come alone to your appointment, unless if escort is unavoidable (children, elderly, low vision patients etc).

The centre provides diagnostic services in all fields of ophthalmology, equipped with the latest equipment:

  • 3 Slit Lamp Ophthalmology Units
  • Heidelberg Spectralis OCT
  • Pentacam AXL
  • Top Con fundus camera
  • Humphrey Perimetrie Device
  • Orthoptics Department for children and adults (Hertel Exophthalmometer, Madox Cross, Prismata, etc)

All laser, minor surgeries and injection treatments are performed in Robert Schuman Hospital, Kirchberg.

Cataract

Monofocal, toric and
trifocal/EDOF/multifocal lenses

Cataract Surgery
All forms of cataract as well as forms of aphakia and lens dislocation are treated from the doctors of the centre, using monofocal, toric, trifocal (EDOF), multifocal or aphakia correcting intraocular lenses. Surgeries are performed in Robert Schuman Hospital, Kirchberg.

Retinal Detachment, Epiretinal Membrane, Macular Hole, Diabetic Retinopathy etc.

The centre is fully equipped with all tools for diagnosis and follow up of glaucoma. All laser treatments (Iridotomie, SLT-Laser) are performed at the Robert Schuman Hospital Kirchberg.

Access by car

Parking space (6 slots) is provided outside the centre’s premises on a first come, first serve basis. As parking space is limited, it is preferentially reserved for patients with reduced mobility.

Public parking at rue Val Sainte Croix and at Allée Leopold Goebel is possible.

Park and Ride (P+R) Stade (10 minutes walk).

Access by bus

Bus stop: Place de l‘Etoile/Stäereplaz (multiple lines as also connection to Gare Centrale) (3 minutes walk)

Square New York (lines 8 und 12)

Access by bicycle

A bicycle stand is provided outside the centre’s premises.

Access by tram

Tram stop: Place de l’Etoile (3 minutes walk).

Unfortunately, there is no wheelchair ramp in the building. Patients unable to climb the few steps leading to the centre can be seen at Kirchberg Hospital, Poliklinik Ophtalmologique with an appointment.
